VOX
Doctor II may be one of the BEST sounding vocal De-Essers available today! Vox
Doctor II splits the critical audio "Ess" frequencies into three frequency bands
using "transient perfect" linear phase crossovers. The audio levels in
these "Ess" bands are then compared to the overall signal level and adjusted by
Vox Doc to the desired levels. Since only specific high frequency bands are affected
the resultant sound is very transparent and "musical".
Vox Doctor II has a continuously variable "Threshold Mode" control which allows the user to select a level tracking mode, absolute threshold level mode or any combination in between. In this way, Vox Doctor II can track a vocal as its level rises and falls or, in "static" mode, reduce levels that exceed an absolute limit (like a typical compressor). The actual audio being removed can be heard using the "Monitor" checkbox and the individual band checkboxes.
Vox Doctor II is designed to be used as an INSERT on both STEREO and MONO vocal tracks.

Par Meter is a valuable tool for anyone creating their
own finished masters. Par Meter displays real-time peak levels, RMS levels and the
ratio between the two known as "PAR" or peak-to-average ratio. This ratio
is an indicator of the subjective "loudness" of an audio program. In
addition to real-time displays, Par Meter also gives running status of the total file data
from the last reset. A manual reset button "clear all" is provided so that
the cumulative data can be reset at any point while audio is running.

Effervescence is a unique plugin that adds brilliance and sizzle to your sound! This
plug uses multiple stages of filtering, envelope followers and signal generators to add
"air" and sizzle to the sound that can only be described as
"effervescent". It will brighten percussive tracks and produce
"Enya-esque" airiness when applied to multiple vocal tracks. This plug can

VOX Doctor is an extremely "musical" vocal de-esser and enhancer designed for
use as an effect INSERT on MONO vocal tracks. In contrast to most sidechain based
processors, VOX Doctor is NOT a compressor and will not alter the dynamics of the
vocal. VOX Doctor is a spectral balancer that limits the high frequency energy in
the audio. When a vocal becomes excessively sibilant (as determined by the THRESHLD
control) VOX Doctor steps in and reduces the high frequency content only as much as needed
to level the spectrum. The processor will not produce "lisp-ing" or reduce
the brightness of the audio. The actual audio being removed can be heard by using
the "mode" switch on page 2 (INVERT mode). This tool is a necessity for

Over four months in design, the MB Maximizer Multi-Band Compressor/Maximizer is finally here! The MB Maximizer splits the audio into three user-selectable frequency bands and compresses each band separately for a tight, professional sound. While this seems like a simple processes in theory it presents many problems in actual practice. The crossovers, compressors and mix stages must all be designed carefully to avoid unnatural and unexpected side effects. The MB Maximizer uses constant amplitude, minimum phase shift crossovers and multiple stages of compression to accomplish its task with the utmost care. Included with the MB Maximizer are several presets to get you started including two "FM Radio" programs with very high (too much for mastering) compression settings. These "FM Radio" programs can be used to give you an idea of how your mix may sound on commercial FM radio. Other presets are included to enhance your mix or individual tracks.

Dr. Expander is a downward Dynamic Range expander/noise gate. Signals falling below the Threshold setting will be downward expanded by the Expand amount up to 200%. This device will increase the dynamic range of audio material thus reducing the noise floor while making the audio more "punchy". With its unique, dual stage integrators Dr. Expander is never "gritty" or harsh. Dr. Expander can be used on mono or stereo channel inserts as well as the master stereo buss insert.
